Our Meeting was called to order by President Mike McKay

Announcements:

Rtn. Mary Ellen Lewis announced that the Rotary Youth Exchange student hosted for 2018-2019 by the Iowa City AM Club needs host families for the winter/spring semester. Contact her or a member of the Youth Exchange

committee for more information.

PROGRAM:

Rtn. Tom Cilek introduced the program speaker, Greg Morris, University of Iowa Football Equipment Manager. Greg shared quite a few details about the Iowa football team's new helmets. After describing the history of safety in football helmets, Greg shared that the custom fitting of the new padding for helmets makes these the safest helmets on the market, such that the

U.S. Army is considering the same process to produce soldiers' helmets. He also shared that Iowa football is in preparation season for the fall - students are busy lifting and working out. Greg and his team preparing to have 14,000 items ready to go to support the football players this fall.

After audience questions President McKay thanked Greg for his fun and educational presentation.

The meeting ended at 1:00 pm as President Mike led the assembly in reciting The Four Way Test.
