PROGRAM: Rtn. Trisha Smith introduced Rtn. Mark Nolte, who introduced Dr. Sarah Fisher-Gardial and Nancy Bird, this year's United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties campaign co-chairs. As partners, the dean of the UI's Tippie College of Business and the executive director of the Iowa City Downtown District bring a rounded approach to reaching the community with the message about how to make an impact through the United Way. They also shared that to reach their campaign goal this year, they plan to focus their time and energy on increasing leadership level giving and by encouraging all past donors to increase their gift by 10%. Rtn. Katie Knight, executive director of the United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties, answered questions following the presentation. The meeting ended at 1:00 pm as President Steve led the assembly in reciting The Four Way Test. The Club enjoyed singing America the Beautiful and an additional song, led by Rtn. Aaron Schaefer with Rtn. Jim Conard on piano.
