Iowa City Noon Rotary

The Iowa City Noon Rotary, in partnership with other Rotary clubs and Rotary International, has many opportunities for youth. Individuals and companies are encouraged to sponsor students to attend the World Affairs Seminar or RYLA. Our sponsorship flyer provides information on how you or your company can help provide a life-altering experience to these students.

Our club's youth programs include:

  • World Affairs Seminar
    • This is a unique interactive educational program for students, typically in the summer between their junior and senior years of high school. The week-long experience provides an opportunity for students from a variety of countries and backgrounds to discuss issues in a non-threatening environment.
    • Over 27,000 future leaders have participated so far. Our club provides numerous scholarships to attend this event, usually held at Carrol College in Waukesha, WI.
    • View a YouTube video from a former attendee talking about a specific experience he had as a result of the World Affairs Seminar by clicking here.
    • Youth Leadership Committee members help raise scholarship funds, interview prospective students, help with student selection, and communication to participants. Because of this committee's work, there is no cost to students to participate in this program.
